Our Teachers
Marek Ciechanowski (United Kingdom)
Marek Ciechanowski is a certified FCBD® Style instructor based in the United Kingdom. He completed General Skills & Teacher Training certifications in Australia in 2016 and attended the first Technique for Teachers certification in Europe.
Over the years Marek has studied with numerous FCBD® Style teachers and is always continuing his studies of this dance. He has taught workshops and performed in Italy, Germany, France, United Kingdom and New Zealand.
Marek is known for his organic teaching style with fun and connection at heart. He has a passion for the basics which are fundamental to FCBD® Style.
Nadežda Mäki (Lithuania)
Nadežda Mäki is the creative visionary behind Vilnius Tribal Festival and founder and director of the interdisciplinary space Heartcore studio in Vilnius. She is a Tribal Fusion Bellydance teacher and choreographer and a certified FCBD® Style and Siren Project Format instructor.
During her 18-year dance journey Nadežda has studied with many teachers worldwide. She has taught classes, workshops and performance projects in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Sweden and has performed in festivals and shows in Poland, Greece, Cyprus, Germany, France, Italy and Kazakhstan.
In her teaching, Nadežda strives to create a sense of magic – an atmosphere where movement becomes a pathway to connection, discovery, and transformation. She cultivates an inspiring learning environment that stimulates creative growth and artistic development.
Mônica Mendes (Brazil)
Mônica Mendes is an international Tribal Fusion Bellydance performer from Brazil. She is also the director of Tribal Metamorphosis, one of Brazil’s largest fusion dance festivals.
Mônica has been dancing for 13 years and teaching for 7. Throughout her career, she has studied with numerous renowned teachers and developed her own unique teaching style, applying technique and body expression in a simple yet profound way.
Mônica loves sharing not only steps and movements but experiences. Therefore, her greatest value is creating sincere bonds where the art of dance can be shared ethically and safely.

Saturday, the 14th of March 2026
10:00-11:30 Monica – Contemporary Fusion
During this workshop we will combine Tribal Fusion Bellydance technique with elements of contemporary and urban styles to bring a different form and meaning to our dance.
11:45-13:15 Marek – The Art of Group Flow
In this workshop we will focus on communication between dancers in FCBD® Style. Using body angles, eye connection and movements we will work on fades, flowing in and out of chorus and other group transitions.
19:00 Dance Show “Nature Spells“

10:00-11:30 Marek – Let‘s Shimmy!
During this workshop we will explore the shimmy family movements in FCBD® Style with focus on creating more power
11:45-13:15 Nadežda – 7 Layers of Performance
In this workshop we will learn and apply a creative system that will help you create choreographies more easily and transform them into captivating performances. This workshop is suitable for both Tribal Fusion Bellydance and FCBD® Style dancers.
13:30-15:00 Monica – Choreography workshop
During this workshop we will learn a short choreography, using the vast repertoire we have within Tribal Fusion Bellydance and working with movement connection, fluidity and musicality.
